We are a ‘Good’ primary school located in Blackburn, East Lancashire who are currently seeking a compassionate teaching assistant to join our team. About the role:
1. Full Time, Monday to Friday 8.30am- 3.30pm
2. Level 2 qualification or above in supporting children in learning.
3. The ability to seek advice and assistance to meet students’ needs.
4. Provide feedback to pupils and teachers on pupil’s achievement, progress and any problems that arise.
5. The ability to respond calmly and constructively when dealing with children.
6. Supervise and provide learning support for pupils in small groups.
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work to support individuals to access bespoke learning programmes based on their developmental ages and abilities. The successful candidate would ideally have some experience working in a special needs environment; however, this is not essential and should be confident in working one to one with students under teacher guidance. Applicants should ideally have experience of working with challenging young people and will need to demonstrate a calm, positive approach, enthusiasm, energy, and plenty of patience.
