Position Title: Customer Quality Engineer
Duration: Contract
Location: Halewood (with occasional travel to the West Midlands)

Position Description:
1. UID - EV-610; EV-609; EV-608 Vehicle NVH is a key technical department within the product creation process, leading the engineering from concept to customer.
2. You will give the vehicles their unique characteristics, ensuring the many aspects of refinement required to achieve the customer expectations for all the Clients' programmes.
3. It is all part of creating vehicles that delight customers and set us apart from the competition.
4. The NVH Attributes Refinement Group encompasses 3 distinct teams; Prevention, Delivery and In-service Performance.
5. Its responsible for strategy, methods, targets, testing, detection and resolution, specifically for the attributes of Squeak & Rattle and Water and Air Ingress across the full vehicle, systems and components.
6. Operating from the very early phase of a vehicle programme, working cross functionally throughout design, development, manufacturing, launch until end of product life cycle.
7. Your primary role will involve addressing and resolving attribute concerns related to S&R, body sealing and water leaks.
8. You will lead the issue investigation process and establish root causes through close collaboration with Manufacturing, Engineering, and suppliers.
9. A hands-on approach is essential during investigations, following 8D methodology, including the ability to interrogate drawings, models, and take measurements from production.
Skills Required:
10. Automotive/Engineering degree or equivalent automotive experience preferred
11. Ability to Plan work/Events and organise detailed activity to deliver the outcomes
12. Demonstrable problem solving experience e.g. Root Cause Analysis, 8 Disciplines of problem solving
Experience Required:
13. Automotive/Engineering degree or equivalent automotive experience preferred Demonstrate potential to strategize work streams based on the Business Plan
14. Ability to Plan work/Events and organise detailed activity to deliver the outcomes
15. Ability to lead large project/ resolve complex issues through leading cross functional teams
16. Demonstrate ability to work independently with minimum supervision
17. Demonstrable problem solving experience e.g. Root Cause Analysis, 8 Disciplines of problem solving
18. Good experience of quality tools (8D, Fish bone, FTA, PDCA, 5Y etc)
19. Ability to analyse large data that translates into next actions / us of MS Office applications
20. Ability to plan work in 2 weeks sprints, organise work based on priority and deliver against plan
21. Being resourceful with Hands on complex problem solving capability
22. Highly motivated, fast learner and ability to easily handle multiple tasks
23. Ability to learn quickly new skills quickly (Have a Growth Mind-set)
24. Demonstrate good negotiation skills to promote issues to next phase of investigation
25. A proactive and personable nature to engage with cross functional areas.
26. Knowledge and understanding of automotive manufacturing processes.
27. Ability to deliver presentations to work groups and senior management
28. A full UK driving licence
Experience Preferred:
29. Automotive Engineering Degree/ Mechanical Engineering
30. Previous experience of New Model Launch or Vehicle Manufacturing operations
31. Technical knowledge of vehicle engineering related to Squeaks & Rattle or Water Ingress Drive and motivation to achieve goals of team and self with minimal supervision
32. Active experience of working to Agile methodologies (JIRA)
33. Experience of working with the following company toolsets; Tableau, AIMs, IQM, Flags, IDS, TGW
34. A working knowledge of Trim & Final, BIW, sealing systems
35. A working experience of CAD or Digi-buck.
36. Knowledge of material compatibility and joining technologies.
37. Working knowledge of Health and Safety/ risk assessments
