Hywel Dda University Health Board offers an exciting opportunity for motivated and experienced physiotherapists at Glangwili Hospital. This rotational post involves working within our Acute Trauma and Orthopaedic service, as well as across Critical Care and Surgical wards. There may be potential to expand to other rotations depending on service development.
Job Summary
The role involves managing trauma patients, including fragility fractures, limb trauma, and major trauma repatriations, as well as participating in the T&O outreach service. In Critical Care and Surgery, the team provides rehabilitation for critically unwell and post-surgical patients, supporting their journey from critical care to home.
Main Duties
* Work flexibly across surgical wards, trauma, orthopaedics, and Critical Care.
* Provide autonomous assessments, develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
* Support and supervise physiotherapy students and staff.
* Travel to Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli, as required.
* Participate in respiratory on-call services and future 7-day working developments.

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* Professional registration with HPCP.
* Postgraduate specialist education and CPD evidence.
* Experience in relevant clinical specialties, managing diverse caseloads, and supervising staff.
Desirable:
* Postgraduate diploma or higher in relevant specialty.
* Experience with service development, NHS, and student supervision.
Other Requirements
* Willingness to participate in on-call and extended services.
* Ability to travel between sites.
* Welsh language skills are desirable.
