Frieze is the world’s leading platform for modern and contemporary art, dedicated to artists, galleries, collectors, and art lovers alike. Frieze comprises three magazines – frieze, Frieze Masters Magazine, and Frieze Week – and five international art fairs – Frieze London, Frieze Masters, Frieze New York, Frieze Los Angeles, and Frieze Seoul. In October 2021, Frieze also launched No.9 Cork Street, a permanent space for visiting international galleries in the heart of Mayfair, London.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
The ideal candidate will be extremely efficient and organized, possess exceptional communication skills, and bring creativity and enthusiasm to the role. The ability to multi-task, work calmly under pressure, and be a strong team player are also vital, as is a good knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and social media platforms.
Areas of Responsibility
1. Accurate calendars (editorial, press conferences, events etc.) and media lists
2. Participate in brainstorming and planning sessions
3. Distribute content such as briefing notes and press releases as required
4. Lead on tracking media coverage and PR metrics
5. Lead on the administration of media accreditation and invitations
6. Oversee organization of regular meetings / agendas / action points
Key Tasks
1. Maintain archive of all press clippings / bespoke clip books
2. Maintain archive of all press releases / info sheets
3. Maintain archive of images
4. Maintain up-to-date press lists
5. First point of contact for press@frieze.com email flagging any important requests
6. Respond to image requests
7. Develop supporting comms materials for press packs etc.
8. Oversee administration of materials for press packs (e-press pack)
9. Research for campaigns where appropriate
10. Check the daily clips reports – flagging any major / important / relevant coverage
11. Oversee agendas / meeting notes
12. Manage RSVPs for invitations
13. Manage department subscriptions
14. Proofing of all comms materials
15. Cultivate a network of stakeholders in the wider industry
16. Keep up to date on wider arts media coverage and developments

1. Potential to work weekends at busy times
2. Some flexibility required to account for different time zones
