Your Role
The successful candidate will join the Operations team to assist in the day-to-day logistics, compliance, and administration of our growing fleet of mini coaches and driver guides. Reporting to the Operations Managers you will lead and support a team of experienced and trainee tour driver guides. You will regularly review and appraise your team and support them to achieve outstanding results every day. You will work within the Operations team to address training requirements, team issues, and ideas or suggestions for the development of the team and company. You will be the first point of contact for your team and will be responsible for maintaining a regular dialogue between your team and the Operations managers.
You will work on a rota system to provide operational cover on early and late shifts (hours of operation 6am - 9pm) over 7 days a week. You will be required to provide weekend operational cover as well as occasional out of hours on-call duties as specified by your line manager. You will be required to prepare reports on your team and attend meetings with the Operations team.
Your responsibilities
* Conduct annual performance appraisals and regular reviews to ensure continuous growth and development within the team.
* Identify and address training requirements to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
* Carry out key holder duties including management of the site and opening and closing procedures.
* Assist in the operation of the workshop, administrative tasks and vehicle book ins.
* Evaluate and create both private and scheduled tour itineraries, ensuring they meet our standards of excellence.
* Uphold exceptional levels of customer experience, promptly addressing and resolving any customer queries or concerns.
* Oversee health and safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulations.
* Assist in recruitment processes to onboard qualified and capable individuals to our team.
* Ensure driver compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, maintaining high standards of professionalism and safety.
* Collaborate with the operations team to develop and deliver driver periodic CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) training.

Essential
* High degree of flexibility.

* Experience in customer service.
* Highly organised with good problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team.
* Category D or D1 licence.
* Digital Tachograph card.
* Driver Qualification Card.
* Microsoft Office skills.
Desirable
* A willingness to work towards the Transport Manager certificate of professional competence qualification.
