Your new role
We are looking for a Claims Advisor to join our dynamic Newcastle or Sydney based teams. As a member of our team you will -
1. Manage a portfolio of claims from lodgement to resolution
2. Assess claims for reasonable and appropriate treatment and rehabilitation needs
3. Investigate claims and interpret medical documents with a focus on proactive claims management
4. Ensure legislative compliance timeframes are met in conjunction with following all internal policies and procedures
5. Provide an excellent level of customer service to all internal and external stakeholders
6. Calculate settlement offers, negotiate settlements and attend settlement conferences with lawyers and Counsel
7. Display behaviours that contribute and drive a positive culture

8. Be customer focussed - previous experience and ability to thrive within in a high paced, high volume environment
9. Resilient in nature
10. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills (including managing emotionally charged situations)
11. Strong time management, problem solving and negotiation skills
12. Confident to make decisions and be empowered
13. A keen willingness to learn with a proactive and positive attitude
14. Good computer skills and the ability to upskill to learn new computer systems and programs
15. Knowledge and/or experience in the personal injury or insurance industry is desirable
