This is a brand new, pivotal role for organisation, supporting the Company as it continues to modernise and transform services, driving positive cultural change to support organisational success. The role The successful candidate will partner with stakeholders at all levels across the business to proactively provide the full range of HR services that enable the teams to achieve business objectives and ensure effective people management practices are in place. Support the development of a positive employee relations culture and environment across the Company Advise and contribute to the development of strategic and operational planning Develop and support a positive employee relations culture through effective, consultation and negotiating structures Ensure effective consultative processes and mechanisms are in place to support the delivery of business outcomes through engagement with key stakeholder groups. Lead negotiations and consultations on change initiatives with trade unions. Lead on employee relations aspects of changes on organisation structure. Support and oversee responses to legal challenges, including court and tribunal proceedings, through effective liaison with the business, Senior People Partners and the Company's legal representatives This is a unionised environment and will require a strong HR professional with experience of building rapport with a range of stakeholders, including local and regional trade union representatives, ultimately fostering a positive organisational culture. The successful candidate ESSENTIAL Minimum of a Degree with at least 3 years' relevant experience OR Minimum of HNC/HND Qualification with at least 5 years' relevant experience. Note - relevant experience is in a Senior HR role, to include experience in Employee Relations in a large, complex organisation with advice and guidance up to senior manager level. Experience of driving positive cultural change and business modernisation through effective employee relations Demonstrable knowledge of current employment legislation. Experience of managing the people aspects of complex change in a unionised environment. Experience in planning and delivering employee relations initiatives. Experience of advising and managing challenging people issues Experience of transformational change management or continuous improvement projects, from initiation to completion Awareness of customer expectations, collaboration and building positive relationships both internally and externally. Experience of successful collaboration with both cross functional and external stakeholders Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong planning and organisational skills across a range of complex activities.
