ABOUT CSVPA CSVPA offers an outstanding international pre-university educational experience to students aged 14 from all over the world. JOB OVERVIEW We take great pride in our appearance, and the cleaning team play a crucial part in this ensuring a professional, clean, and welcoming environment for our students, staff and visitors. As a Cleaning Operative, you will be required to carry out a variety of cleaning duties across the Worthgate School and School of English buildings, boarding residences, and grounds on a day-to-day basis; ensuring consistently high levels of cleanliness and hygiene at all times. This role will report directly into the Cleaning Supervisor working within the Cleaning Team, however you will play a vital part in the overall Operations Team of the school which is made up of three departments; Cleaning, Catering and Maintenance. This role is working on a Monday - Friday with the hours: 0600 - 14:30. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Cleaning and upkeep of school teaching buildings and boarding house residences. Cleaning tasks includes, but is not limited to: dusting surfaces, wiping door handles, mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, cleaning restrooms, showers & residence communal kitchens, emptying bins, and replenishing consumables. Daily cleaning of College and School of English buildings Weekly cleaning of individual houses Check toilets and communal areas are clean and tidy at regular intervals. Keep outside areas free of rubbish. Report any cleanliness/health and safety/repair issues to line manager promptly Deal with all customers (students, staff, external) with courtesy and promptness at all times Use equipment, machinery and cleaning materials effectively, efficiently and in accordance with safe working practices to carry out your duties Work independently, or in small teams as/when required, to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner Undertake additional duties during the Summer School period Occasional duties in the canteen Any other duties required by line manager or Operations Manager This list of duties is not exhaustive but covers the key aspects of the role.
