NATS Services Limited are now entering an important phase of our strategy to provide technology enabled services to all new airspace users. This phase will establish routes to market and accelerate technology enablement by developing strategic partners and collaborations. Job Purpose: The New Airspace Users (NAU) P&L was established in 2023 as a strategic pillar to underpin NATS overall strategy to 2040 to be relied upon by all airspace users for services and to generate additional commercial value from space to ground and globally. This NAU SME role will work within a multi-faceted Solutions & Innovation Team, supporting our NAU P&L ambitions by shaping and leading the technical delivery of key components of our technology enabled services roadmap. Our goal is to enable safe scaling of commercial BVLOS and UAM operations in unsegregated airspace, delivering cost effective solutions for our NAU customers and partners. Other duties include: Manages the solution development of medium to large complexity projects (>£1M). Understands and implements the Commercial Approvals Process. Ensures the Solutions developed are of a high standard, align with the business strategy and comply with internal governance Leads the delivery of high-quality Solutions providing own subject matter expertise and/or generalist consulting knowledge Manages the technical team within the context of a project to deliver successful outcomes Has a broad understanding of the ATM, UTM & UAM domain and is considered an SME in one or more solution areas Has an excellent understanding of NATS products and services, can apply these to contracted projects to develop wider solutions to meet a customer's needs Manages relationships with internal and external stakeholders at a senior level to influence the delivery of solutions to meet their existing and future requirements Identifies areas of quality and improvement by reviewing and providing continuous feedback.
