CMS has one of the few large, stand alone financial services practices in the City of London. The combined UK Financial Services team consists of 9 partners and a team of 22 other fee-earners and trainees in the UK. This is therefore an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further their career and develop the Firm's Financial Services practice. The Financial Services Team in Scotland provides transaction support and advice to the Firm's most important FS clients (including banks, insurers and investment / asset management companies) in all areas which require specialist FS Law input. About the Role In this role, you can expect to get involved in a variety of work including: Investment Funds Financial Services Compliance & Regulation Long term and general insurance Investment / Asset Management The particular position that the team is seeking to fill involves potentially supporting all of the areas of the Scottish Team's work with a view in the medium term to developing one or more areas of specialism although there is likely to be significant work on the Investment Funds side. The position requires the ability to work under pressure autonomously and as part of the Team.
