Reporting to the Group HRD this role will be responsible for overseeing and managing payroll operations across multiple countries and regions.
Your primary focus will be on reviewing, overseeing and implementing integrated solutions for payroll systems across the business, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing, maintaining payroll data integrity, and coordinating with internal payroll teams, HR, Finance, IT departments and external vendors.
* Review and manage the end-to-end Payroll platforms and systems and to customise payroll systems according to business needs, including smooth integration of any acquisitions.
* Manage relationships with all stakeholders, including payroll system vendors and service providers across various UK and non-UK operations.
* Review and develop process improvement procedures and guidelines to ensure best practices are followed and to develop and document standard operating procedures.
* Implement payroll system enhancements, upgrades, and integrations to improve efficiency and accuracy.
* This role requires excellent leadership and organisational skills, and the ability to navigate complex payroll scenarios across different jurisdictions.

* Lead the payroll function to provide exceptional service to the TXO business.
* Review and manage Payroll platforms and systems, including smooth integration of any acquisitions.
* Implement payroll system enhancements, upgrades, and integrations to improve efficiency and accuracy.
* Ensure payroll systems are set up for gender pay gap reporting and are GDPR compliant.
* Oversee end-to-end payroll operations for multiple countries and regions. Collaborate with local payroll teams, external payroll service providers, and HR teams to ensure seamless payroll delivery.
* Review and validate payroll inputs, including employee data, timesheets, benefits, and deductions, for accuracy and compliance.
* Manage payroll data integrity and maintain employee records in compliance with data protection regulations.
* Develop and implement payroll policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and data security.
* Coordinate year-end payroll processes, including tax reporting, annual statements, and compliance filings for each country.
* Handle complex payroll scenarios, such as international assignments.
* Conduct periodic payroll audits to ensure data accuracy, identify discrepancies, and resolve any payroll-related issues.
* Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in global payroll management.
* Provide guidance and support to HR, finance teams regarding payroll processes, compliance, and reporting.
* Develop and deliver payroll training programs to ensure awareness and understanding of payroll policies and procedures.

* A technically strong payroll professional who can lead by example and impart their in-depth payroll knowledge to the team.
* CIPP or AAT qualification is a plus.
* Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role, with a focus on managing payroll operations across multiple countries and regions.
* Experience of managing international payrolls would be beneficial.
* Ability to assimilate and understand global payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements for various jurisdictions.
* Strong understanding of statutory deductions, tax rates, social security requirements, and benefits regulations in different countries.
