Effectively manage the external consultant team and track professional fees against the project fee budgets. Deliver projects on time by demonstrating project management skills and coordination. Contribute to technical reports and commenting on relevant plans and documents. Securing planning approval for well-designed schemes by demonstrating a strong narrative in line with the latest national planning guidance. Engage with all parts of the business to ensure planning applications are optimised and meet the needs of our customers and all areas of the business. Manage community engagement on planning applications. Support the land team in the identification and acquisition of suitable opportunities to meet business strategy. Ideally the candidate will have a good knowledge of the geographical area and a robust network of strong relationships with key contacts. Have an in-depth knowledge and clear understanding of the continually evolving planning system, changes in legislation, policies and government guidelines. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the importance of viability in the negotiation and delivery of development. Present, report and update the Board of Directors anall areas of planning strategy and programme. Required Skills: A degree qualification in a Planning-related subject or where transferrable skills can be demonstrated At least five years' experience with a Planning and Development background and be MRTPI qualified. Experience with another developer/housebuilder or Planning Consultancy would be desirable. A full driving licence.
