About the Role
Our client, a nurturing and ambitious primary school in West Yorkshire, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teacher to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to support children in their early years of learning, creating a stimulating and engaging environment where they can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that support the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independent learning.
* Assess, monitor, and track children’s progress, providing regular feedback and identifying areas for development.
* Work closely with support staff, parents, and carers to ensure each child receives the best possible start to their education.
* Implement a play-based approach to learning that supports social, emotional, and cognitive development.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture, ensuring the needs of all children, including those with SEND, are met.
* Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and stay updated with best practices in early years education.
* Contribute to the wider school community, including participating in events, initiatives, and extra-curricular activities as required.
Person Specification
Essential:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in EYFS.
* Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
* A nurturing and patient approach, with the ability to engage and inspire young learners.
* Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a structured, yet creative learning environment.
* A commitment to supporting every child to achieve their full potential.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable:
* Experience working with children with SEND in an EYFS setting.
* Familiarity with phonics programmes such as Read Write Inc. or Letters and Sounds.
* Experience in leading or contributing to extra-curricular activities.
* Knowledge of the latest educational research and developments in early years teaching.
