We are seeking an Assistant Headteacher – Data & Assessment to join our leadership team and drive academic data analysis, assessment practices, and curriculum impact across the school. This role plays a critical part in ensuring high-quality teaching, student progress tracking, and data-driven decision-making to enhance educational outcomes.
Requirements
The Successful Candidate will:
· Lead and manage academic data collection processes using systems such as Arbor & Waypoint tracking.
· Analyse student performance data to identify trends and inform targeted interventions.
· Support curriculum development by ensuring assessment strategies are used effectively to drive teaching and learning.
· Provide professional development to staff on using data and assessment to improve student outcomes.
· Collaborate with the SENCo and leadership team to ensure assessments align with student needs and school priorities.
· Monitor and evaluate the impact of assessment procedures, ensuring feedback is actionable and supports student progress.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
The ideal candidate will have:
· A degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred) and QTS qualification.
· Proven leadership experience within an educational setting.
· Strong data analysis skills and experience in tracking student progress to inform teaching strategies.
· A deep understanding of curriculum frameworks, educational standards, and assessment methodologies.
· Experience in conducting classroom observations and coaching teachers based on data insights.
· Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to engage and support both staff and students.
