Atradius Collections is placing a growing emphasis on self-generated lead development – and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record and strategy to deliver this. At Atradius Collections we do not subscribe to the ‘hard sell’ or a ‘sell at all costs’ approach. Rather, we are looking for a candidate that can provide a consultative, problem solving sales approach – with the ability to build a strong relationship built upon trust with the customer that will allow for a long standing commercial partnership to be established.
In this position your key responsibilities will be:
1. Be actively involved in prospecting and network events.
2. Work closely with (internal) stakeholders to develop and create ideas to attract new business and/or to strengthen existing business relationships.
3. Organize and participate in international events with the goal to acquire new, commercially interesting, strategic leads and clients.
4. Actively manage the conversion of business opportunities with multinational companies into Global agreements / DCA’s.
5. Being adaptive and solution based in a complex selling environment - working collaboratively with all relevant colleagues and (internal) stakeholders to deliver commercial propositions.
6. Develop long-term partnerships with the stakeholders of globally operating clients.
7. Working with Account managers to establish cross fertilization of our strategic accounts.
8. A preference for an existing knowledge of Credit and Risk Management environments to align our services with the prospect / the clients’ needs. However, if a candidate is presented that matches the key criteria outlined in the Introduction – then consideration will absolutely be given to an individual who does not possess specific industry knowledge.
9. Effectively communicate new Atradius products and/or services..
10. Working as a trusted advisor, providing support and guidance to new and existing clients.
11. Develop strong internal relationships across the globe. Not only within AC and Global ACI but also with all other relevant stakeholders.
12. Work effectively and in a pro-active manner with your international colleagues in the Strategic Accounts Team. These colleagues will work in different geographical regions so a clear team focus will be essential.
13. Proposing, presenting and discussing (CI, PS and TPC) solutions with strategic prospects, customers and/or relevant stakeholders.
14. Pursue and close deals that ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
15. Provide competitive pricing proposals on prospect applications, RFP’s and tenders whilst doing everything possible to maintain the maximum possible profit margin.
16. Management of the commercial (customer or prospect facing) part of a sales process.
17. Delivery of the commercial input to the OPS, AM, legal and finance team(s) that is/are responsible for the set-up of a new strategic account.
18. Management of the HQ / DMU / C-level communications of the accounts in the portfolio of Strategic Accounts Team.
19. Updating, involving and (where needed) leading the service teams that are responsible for the servicing of the / your accounts in the Strategic Team’s client portfolio.
20. Develop and improve your business understanding so that you can be adaptive for industry and regulatory changes.
21. Administer accounts in the CRM tool.
22. Support (when requested / needed) the ACI Global team when they close (CI) deals.
23. When needed: align with ACI Global’s clients, intermediaries and brokers.
24. Make commercial / business reports and provide timely performance updates to the Global Head of the Strategic Accounts Team
Requirements for the job
The ideal candidate will have the following profile:
25. Understand sales and commercial processes & procedures and take a consultative approach to developing long term partnerships;
26. In-depth knowledge of the account receivables and collections environment, services and processes;
27. Knowledge of Credit and Risk Management environment, services and processes;
28. Able to interpret and draw relevant customer and industry sector insights from various resources;
29. Proven experience of working in an international environment/international company;
30. Able to identify the clients that meet our business requirements;
31. Able to translate our prospects and customers’ needs into a mutually beneficial service / solution;
32. Self-reliant with a pro-active and can do mentality;
33. He or she has the ability to identify the required commercial opportunities and he / she has the means, the experience and the knowledge to close these opportunities in an efficient manner;
34. Hard working and self-motivated, you will have good business sense and you are target driven;
35. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal;
36. Good organisational and time-management skills;
37. Innovative thinker able to bring new ideas and is open and willing to support new initiatives;
38. Resilience, and flexibility in approach with a positive attitude and ability to adapt to change;
