The successful candidate will provide specialist clinical/counselling psychology (group and individual) for patients diagnosed with cancer and their relatives under the care of SGH. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, alongside a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, five additional Clinical Psychologists, a Systemic Family Therapist and a Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist and Assistant Psychologists. The range of work is diverse, covering outpatient and inpatient settings, joint-working with multidisciplinary colleagues (including medical, nursing, allied health care professionals and liaison psychiatry colleagues), alongside many teaching / training, service development and supervisory opportunities. The post holder will also be a member of the extensive neuropsychology and clinical health psychology department within SGH that would provide support and mentoring for the post holder. The Department is committed to clinical supervision, continuing professional development, teaching, training and career progression. The Department has excellent links with St Georges Hospital Medical School and the University of Surrey and actively supports research.
