Overview of the role:
The role of the Machine Cleaner is to ensure a high level of General Housekeeping across the production area and around the machines.
Key Effective Areas:
1. Health and Safety: Operate within and help maintain, monitor and drive forward Health and Safety practices and ethos.
2. Quality: Adherence to all quality controlled documents, policies and procedures.
3. Production: Support the factory to ensure the efficient running of production lines.
4. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to ongoing continuous improvement projects.
5. Administration: Ensure that site records and reports are maintained and kept up to date.
Management & Organisation:
Machine Cleaners will be able to work with a high level of autonomy to ensure the upkeep of factory housekeeping and site cleanliness.
Health and Safety:
1. All operations and duties conducted by the Machine Cleaner must be carried out with the Health and Safety of all staff/visitors/contractors and company property as the highest priority.
2. Operate within and help maintain / monitor and drive forward site Health and Safety policies, procedures and ethos.
3. Ensure high standards of safety in the production area by conducting regular safety checks of machinery and action repairs/improvements to guarding, etc.
4. Routine and continuous use of company lock out procedure to ensure safety of all staff during machine maintenance.
5. Ensure good standard of housekeeping by maintaining a 'Clean as you Go' approach.

Be aware of company strategy and how individual and team goals impact this. This is a key role for the business as it helps ensure the smooth, efficient and effective running of the production site, with a key focus on the continuous drive to improve the site Health and Safety.
Basic Requirements and Qualifications:
In addition to the items above a Machine Cleaner will have:
1. Relevant experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
2. Knowledge of maintenance systems.
3. A logical and methodical approach to their duties.
4. The capability to monitor and control usage of housekeeping documentation.
Machine Cleaners will be expected to support and work at all 3 Massmould sites when required. Training may be given in the following areas:
1. IOSH
2. Electrical Safety
