Job Description
Our client, a leader in shipping and logistics, has an exciting new opportunity within the team and is looking for a driven, sales-oriented candidate to join the business.
The company has an excellent reputation for customer service and aims to expand within new target customers, regenerate lapsed customers, and build new business pipelines for the future.
This role would be ideal for a candidate who has experience within freight, transportation, and shipping or is keen to learn the industry, possessing previous experience in business development or sales.
Key Responsibilities
* Keep updated with company services and pricing structures.
* Cleansing data on an existing CRM (Salesforce) and managing new target client leads provided by the company.
* Updating CRM with contact notes and progression.
* Build rapport and pipelines with regular contact to gain next opportunities with new customers.
* Book meetings for you and the Sales Manager to attend.
* Provide competitive quotes with support from the Sales Manager.
* Negotiate contracts while maintaining competitive margins.
Knowledge and Skills Essential
* A knowledge of shipping, freight, and logistics would be ideal or a keen desire to learn the industry.
* Ability to use Salesforce or other CRM systems.
* Confidence to meet potential customers at meetings and represent the business professionally.
Working Hours
* 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM
* Hybrid after 2-3 months of training in the office.
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience, plus uncapped commission structure.
