Prime Objective : To manage The Supply Regsiter's (TSR) financial activities through timely provision of relevant and accurate financial and management information, using robust, effective and efficient operational processes, with insightful analysis regarding profit improvement and cash management activities. Responsibilities Hands on management of the operational and transactional financial activities of the business, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and external standards. Responsibility for the accurate transactional record-keeping for the business ensuring all revenues and costs are attributed to the right accounts. Produce monthly management accounts with appropriate understanding and commentary for presentation to the TSR management team and Board. Manage the internal payroll activity, and other HMRC routines (namely P32, VAT and P11d) Lead TSR year-end activity with external accountants, ensuring compliance with TSR policies so that the company and group statutory accounts can be filed in a timely manner. Manage the transactional relationship with the bank and the invoicing discounting facility, ensuring drawdowns are enacting in an efficient manner, and that audit compliance is maintained. Supervision of a Finance Manager (who will lead the Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP) and temp payroll workflows), but with ultimate responsibility for the transactional aspects of the finance function (Payroll, AR, AP, HMRC submissions, expenses). Managing the expenses / charge card reporting for the business Co-ordinating the agency and overhead payments through the bank. Assist in developing appropriate methods and techniques to help analyse company financial and operational performance and to offer solutions for improvement. Provide insightful analysis to the management team on an ad-hoc basis Produce relevant KPI’s for regular (weekly/monthly) review Personal Characteristics Accountant, ideally qualified (CIMA, ACA or ACCA) – technical accounting expertise with a commercial business mind-set, probably trained in industry role as opposed to practice. 5 years PQE in industry Experience of growth organisation would be an advantage and the flexibility and agility that a role in these kinds of businesses require.
