Job Description:
New Directions is currently recruiting for a number of Welsh Medium Teachers to work with our Secondary Schools in the Conwy area. There are various day-to-day, part-time, and full-time roles available, with an immediate start. There is also a strong possibility of the roles extending to the end of the academic year. These roles would also be an excellent opportunity for both Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT's) as well as more experienced teachers.
Schools are looking for teaching cover for various subject specialisms such as Welsh, Maths, Science, and Modern Foreign Languages for those with the appropriate qualifications, as well as general cover across various classes.
To be successful you must be a dedicated education professional who is passionate, flexible, and empathetic. It is essential that you are able to effectively build relationships with both colleagues and pupils, providing a safe and engaging learning environment.
As a secondary school teacher you'll be expected to:
* Teach your subject specialism and assist with general cover
* Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
* Plan, prepare, and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
* Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
* Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development
* Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
* Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
* Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
* Liaise with colleagues and work flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
