We are seeking Assistant Headteacher(s) to take strategic leadership in one of the following areas:
•Teaching and learning. This role oversees the development of ECTs, the Teach First Programmes, coaching, observations, CPD, and whole-school strategies for homework, exams, and teaching methodologies. It is also involves partnership working with Barking Abbey on the SCITT.
•Aspiration and cultural capital. This role oversees Literacy, careers, enrichment, student trips, student voice and rewards.
•Progress and attainment. The role oversees the effective tracking of pupils in all years groups and the coordination of the school to ensure all pupils make better than expected progress.
All roles also involves supporting the daily management of the school alongside the Academic and Inclusion Deputy Headteachers. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and innovative leader committed to raising standards across the school. The exact role will depend upon the candidates strengths.
Eastbrook school is an all through school in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. The secondary school has served the local community since the 1930s but has transferred into a new, state of the art building in 2017. In December 2021. Eastbrook School was graded as ‘good’ by OFSTED noting that ‘leaders and staff have embedded a culture of high expectations’ and that ‘pupils feel safe and supported’.
