Working closely with the Head of Arts & Cultural Programming, you will support the production and delivery of a year-round calendar of cultural and creative engagement events.
The Fife Arms Hotel, located in the village of Braemar in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, is recruiting a Cultural Programming Events Host to join the team! The hotel was awarded 2 Michelin Keys and rated number 1 by Condé Naste Readers’ Choice in 2024.
Working closely with the Head of Arts & Cultural Programming, you will support the production and delivery of a year-round calendar of cultural and creative engagement events, ranging from major festivals to family learning resources and activities, which align with Artfarm business objectives.
Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Supporting the set-up and staging of cultural events and special projects within the Fife Arms and at partner venues, liaising with relevant departmental colleagues, external agencies and freelance service providers.
2. Event administration including scheduling, liaising with the hotel team, contract management and invoice management.
3. Undertake Art Tours for guests as part of a wider hotel delivery team and be the onsite host for the Art Room programme and other creative workshops.
The role will be based at The Fife Arms Hotel in Braemar and is 40 hours per week: these hours will include occasional weekends and evening shifts to meet the needs of the Cultural Programme.
Experience of working within either the Cultural, Education or Events sectors, as well as knowledge of the Scottish Cultural sector, and experience of delivering participatory workshops and events is essential.
Excellent ICT, copywriting and organisational skills, an eye for detail, the ability to multi-task, as well as being a conscientious self-starter capable of working proactively will ensure that you are successful in this role.
