Full-time Description SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: This position provides clinical and administrative support to Practice Providers & Services. This can include performing patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, collection of payments, and supporting practice operations. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for evaluation or treatment, and med sample mgmt. In addition, the role may be assigned to a variety of administrative tasks for Clinical & Practice Operations to support the growth & management of the provider’s practice. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: · Perform patient check-in and check-out including collecting forms, payment, and scheduling. · Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean. · Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs and weight, takes brief history, past medical, family, and social history, current medications, allergies, and other pertinent historical information as appropriate. · Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the provider. · Explain treatment procedures, medication, or any other physician’s instructions to patient · Connect with patients via Athena’s Telehealth platform. · Complete Annual Wellness Visits and health risk assessment process according to policies and procedures. · Ensures compliance with all regulations & policy pertaining to equipment and location maintenance. · Adheres to infection control/safety guidelines and patient confidentiality policies · Ensures medical & operational inventory are all stocked within exam rooms, common spaces, workspaces, etc. Provide patient samples as indicated by provider and appropriately in the medical record. · Promote patient satisfaction scores and outcome measurements in support of the provider and staff coordinated efforts. · Responsible for completing clinic quality controls and maintaining appropriate documentation. · Other duties assigned.
