Blue Arrow Derby is proud to be working in partnership with a client specalising in the Hotel/Restaurant industry. They are looking to recruit a General Manager to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.
About the General Manager Role
Our client is a 13 bed hotel, looking for somebody with previous catering/restaurant/hotel management experience, who is looking for their next step/move in their career who can oversee the running and operational performance of the site, including kitchen, event and restaurant, hotel staff.
Hours: Thurs-Sun (10:00am - 9:00pm) - some flexibility needed when there are events / weddings
Mon-Wed days off
Salary: £37,000 + tips (extra £1,000 - £3,000)
What duties will be included in the General Manager role?
1. Supporting and overseeing the running and performance of the on-site restaurant and bar
2. Overseeing the operational performance of the kitchen, hotel and events.
3. Managing, coaching and supporting a team of staff
4. Reporting back to management
5. Looking at ways of improvement/efficiencies
6. Working to hit financial targets
7. Working to food handling safety guidelines and procedures
8. Providing excellent customer service and dealing with customer service enquiries
9. Completing necessary paperwork - stock control, staff administration etc
