Intermediate Structural Engineer
Required for our client, a multi-disciplinary UK wide Consultancy that is in a growth period, based from their office in Cambridge or Oakham with Hybrid working options.
The Structural Engineer will be providing support to the local and national Engineering teams on a wide range of projects, including:
1. Structural surveys and preparation of reports
2. Calculations, design and preparation of drawing designs for residential, commercial and industrial properties
3. Providing advice to the insurance sector
4. Assisting with regional frameworks
The Ideal Structural Engineer will preferably have:
1. 2+ years post graduate experience within a Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy environment
2. A good working knowledge of construction methods, materials and building regulations
Position Remuneration
Salary: up to £38k DOE
Holiday: 25 days plus BH increasing with service
Chartership support and mentoring: - IstructE or ICE
Pension: 7.5% employer contribution

Position Overview
1. Structural Reports
2. Structural design calculations and preparation of drawings
3. Flood damage surveys
4. Provide technical advice to clients
5. Producing CAD Drawings
6. Involved in obtaining planning and/or building regulations approval
7. Site inspections and client visits
8. Monitoring and inspecting work undertaken by contractors
9. Administering contracts and managing projects
10. Assess the sustainability and environmental impact of each project
Position Requirements
1. Degree in Structural Engineering or similar discipline - accredited by IstructE or ICE
2. Knowledge of legal requirements including CDM2015, Part wall, Listed buildings
3. Experience of consulting engineering, surveying, architectural & planning
4. Experience in working to deadlines and within budgets
5. Problem solver
6. Keen to progress quickly and gain chartership with IstructE or ICE
7. UK Driving Licence
