Estimator (Building/FM) About the Role Candour Talent is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our client's team. This role involves managing the estimating process from initial site survey to quote delivery, ensuring accurate specifications, costings, and bill of materials across a range of projects. The Estimator will play a key role in meeting service level agreements (SLAs), maximising customer satisfaction, and ensuring company profitability. Key Responsibilities Quotation Compilation: Prepare accurate and timely estimates for incoming work from clients. Ensure all quotations are completed on standard templates, in line with set SLAs, and reflect expected profit margins. Expected Outcome: Timely quotations, compliance with SLAs, accurate pricing, and high customer satisfaction. Site Surveys & Specifications: Conduct detailed site surveys for new and existing customers to create accurate specifications and quotes tailored to project requirements. Expected Outcome: Enhanced reputation, accurate project scope, and alignment with customer needs. Bill of Materials (BOM): Produce detailed BOMs to ensure all materials, tools, and equipment are ordered in advance of project commencement. Expected Outcome: High first-time fix rates, reduced downtime, and efficient project execution. Customer Engagement: Proactively maintain clear communication with customers to ensure requirements are met and expectations managed effectively. Expected Outcome: Improved contract security, customer satisfaction, and timely invoicing. Support Business Growth: Collaborate with department leaders to attend customer meetings, support new business opportunities, and deliver exceptional service. Expected Outcome: Business growth, enhanced reputation, and increased customer loyalty. Key Skills & Qualifications Experience in estimating construction works. Knowledge of relevant business operating systems (Sage 200 preferred). Proficiency in CAD and strong computer literacy (Excel competency essential). Relevant certifications (CSCS, IOSH, SMSTS or greater). Familiarity with industry standards, legislation, and professional specifications. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
