We currently have a requirement for a mechanically-biased Maintenance Engineer to join one of the leading, largest private Engineering organisations within Lancashire. This is an opportunity to join an established organisation that has sites throughout the UK, a company that continues to make major investments and drive training and progression on site. This is an opportunity to join an already established maintenance team and an organisation that holds 50+ years within the industry.
The maintenance engineer’s position is commutable from the following locations: Bolton, Heywood, Rochdale, Radcliffe, Bury.
Benefits the Maintenance Engineer will receive:
1. Position: Maintenance Engineer
2. Shift: Days Monday to Friday – 8am till 5pm – 1-hour Lunch.
3. Salary: £30,000 - £33,000
4. Benefits: 8% Pension, Profit related pay scheme, Company health care, 24+8 days holiday
5. Location: Bury, Lancashire
Experience the Maintenance Engineer will hold:
1. Ideally, the maintenance engineer will have previous experience within a heavy engineering plant.
2. Mechanically biased with a slight electrical ability would be at an advantage – roughly 80/20 Split.
3. Experience with: Furnaces, Bearings, Transmission systems, Pulleys, Pipe Fitting, Welding – Fabrications – STICK welding. Some Installation work.
4. Must be Apprentice trained – holding a NVQ Level 3 – City & Guilds Level 3 in mechanical engineering.
Duties the Maintenance Engineer will undertake:
1. Carry out servicing and maintenance requirements throughout the plant.
2. Respond to all breakdowns within the plant.
3. Complete required documentation for the engineering systems.
4. Monitor stock levels on site – re-order as and when required.
5. Assist with projects – installation and commissioning on plant.
6. Carry out all required training on site.
