This is an exciting opportunity to join the Libertatem Healthcare Group as a Cerebral Palsy Support Worker in Letchworth Garden City. The role involves providing personalized care and support to a young individual with complex needs, including assistance with daily living activities, medication administration, and post-surgical care. The successful candidate will need previous experience in a similar role, relevant qualifications, and a compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
Main Duties of the Job
Our client is a young individual who is non-verbal, a wheelchair user, and uses ceiling hoists. She will require 2:1 care for the rest of her life, aiding with the administration of medication through PEG as well as taking fluids in PEG. She will be going for surgery within the next few weeks and will need aid with post-surgical care.

Job Responsibilities
Hours: As you will be working in a team, there will be a mix of shifts available from short days and evenings to 12-hour waking nights across the week. Where possible, we will aim to set a rolling rota where you will know a month in advance what your shifts will be.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering personalized care routines.
* PEG experience is a must.
* Assisting with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
* Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
* Providing emotional support and companionship.
* Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients’ conditions.
* Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care.
* Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle.
* Relevant qualifications in health and social care.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work the specified hours.
