ABOUT THE ROLE:
Shoptalk is looking for an Account Manager to join our London-based team and drive sponsorship sales on our exciting new launch event Shoptalk Luxe. This role will be responsible for both bringing in net new business to Shoptalk Luxe as well as converting customers from the wider Shoptalk portfolio to also join us at this new event. You will be comfortable sourcing your own leads, finding new prospects and being creative in how and where you source new relationships and clients.
If you have 4+ years sales’ experience (ideally in large conferences/events) and would like to be part of a fast paced launch team building a new event product fast and at scale we would love to hear from you.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
* Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets
* Identify, prospect, and close opportunities
* Manage and build relationships within assigned accounts of large tech providers
* Respond to customer inquiries quickly and prioritise activities with customers at different stages in the sales process
* Utilise our CRM to track and report account activity accurately and in a timely manner
* Be obsessive about customer experience from prospect through event execution
* Work collaboratively with other sales team members and other departments
* Stay informed on industry trends and engage with the larger retail tech industry
WHO YOU ARE:
* Have 4+ years of consultative sales experience, ideally in events, digital media, insights, or SaaS
* Sales experience in the Retail and Tech space
* Experience selling client centric sponsorships
* Proven record of negotiation/sales in bouquet selling of large deals and reaching monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets and ensuring all KPI’s are achieved. Including but not limited to call stats, meetings and pipeline newness
* Know-how and passion for nurturing cross functional relationships and developing new business via account mapping
* Experience working within a CRM managing a sales pipeline and accurately forecasting sales revenue
* Agile and ability to multi-task - everyday is not the same and have the ability to pivot and prioritize different projects
* Smart and a quick learner who is comfortable in a fast-paced, high growth, entrepreneurial environment
* For a launch event we need a team of self-starters who are comfortable (and enjoy!) the challenge of operating in the “grey” at times!
* Language skills beneficial but not essential particularly Italian, French and Arabic
