Astute's Power team is partnering with a Biomass Power Station producing circa 480MW to recruit an Electrical Technician for site in Northumberland.
The Electrical Technician role comes with a starting salary of £47,700 which will rise to £51,900 after probation, the benefits package including private medical and an annual bonus.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer you will:
Perform planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of electrical equipment.
Fault-finding and rectifying problems on electrical equipment,
Ensuring compliance with appropriate Heath, Safety, Quality and Environmental standards, policies and procedures.
Assisting with scheduled outage activities
Updating the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Read Electrical drawings and documents and interpret them as required to complete maintenance works.
Learn the site Safe Systems of Work and be trained on the permit to work system.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
A minimum of a NVQ level 3 in a relevant Engineering discipline.
HNC in Electrical Engineering (strongly preferred)
IOSH Managing Safely
COMPEX or BS7671 certificates are highly desirable
Personal skills
