Overview
As the Accounting Manager you will play an integral role in supporting the growth in the company with your involvement in the Accounting and Financial reporting process. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves working a team of accounting professionals, preparing financial statements and other relevant financial reporting, coaching and mentoring junior staff, and assisting in managing any audit and tax requirements, and implementing internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy. The Accounting Manager will support the Controller, CFO, and collaborate closely with senior leadership in providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
1. Support month end close
2. Prepare and/or review transactions related to AP, AR, fixed and intangible assets, leases, etc.
3. Prepare financial statements and other financial reporting including reporting on metrics around AR, AP, and margin.
4. Prepare technical accounting memos to support accounting positions and the Audit
5. Review of G/L for any missing transactions and overall accuracy including performing account reconciliations
6. Assist in management of the treasury function including debt management and cash forecasting
7. Preparing documentation for processes and procedures
8. Assess and implement internal controls over financial reporting
9. Work cross-functionally with other departments throughout the organization
10. Communicate effectively with all levels of staff
11. Adhere to Lexitas core values, and Company policies and procedures
12. Assist on special projects as needed
Requirements
Education:
Required: A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Masters Degree is preferred.
Experience:
At least 5 years of experience working in accounting either in public accounting or industry. Experience working in a regulated environment such as a CRO or pharmaceutical company is preferred.

1. Strong understanding of US GAAP especially ASC 606 revenue standard
2. Experience researching accounting issues, writing technical accounting memos, and working with external audit teams to resolve issues
3. Experience working in ERP Systems and planning and budgeting tools (NetSuite and Salesforce a plus)
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to identify financial issues and recommend mitigating actions.
5. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills at all levels of the organization
6. Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines.
7. Proficient with MS Office programs including a strong understanding of Microsoft Excel
8. Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
9. Exceptionally self-motivated and directed
10. Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
11. Ability to travel as required by role. Limited overnight travel may be required.
Physical Requirements
Position requires: ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about conference or meeting locations as required; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 10-35 pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and type for prolonged periods of time; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time.
