Main Duties of the Job
The Community and Events Fundraising Team play a vital role in securing donations and building relationships across Teesside, working collaboratively with the wider income generation and hospice teams.
You will lead the team in creating and delivering exciting activities, campaigns, and events designed for the communities we serve to engage and inspire new supporters and maximize fundraising opportunities in order to raise awareness and generate sustainable income to support Teesside Hospice services.
About Us
We're changing lives across Teesside by supporting people and families who've been affected by a terminal illness.
We support around 3,000 people in Tees Valley, primarily in Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland. We help them make the most of every day, ensuring they receive the best possible care by creating experiences and memories that last a lifetime.
Everybody gets treated as an individual, whether it's physical, mental, or emotional support they need from us. We support people to stay as independent as possible for as long as possible. We're bringing people together. From patients, family and friends to our clinical team, counsellors, staff, volunteers, and our fundraisers. We make sure that everyone gets to live well until the very end.
We really care. We were founded by local people and will always be here for local people. We understand their lives, the community, and culture, so are incredibly well-placed to offer highly personalized levels of care.
It costs us around £17,000 each day to run all our services, which include: a 10-bed Inpatient Unit, Wellbeing Centre, Outreach, Bereavement services for Adults and Children, and a lymphoedema Clinic.
