We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council as a Housing Estates Surveyor. The role We are looking for an individual who can provide support and assistance to the Housing Investment Team to ensure the successful management of the Council’s housing portfolio. Work will include valuations, reviewing and reporting on the performance management of housing stock, utilising housing asset data together with the creation of financial forecasts to help inform the management of housing assets. To carry out / oversee research and data collection to inform and support the appraisal of existing housing assets and make recommendations to ensure the portfolio remains fit for purpose and positively contributes towards the Councils strategic objectives. What you will need You will have relevant and recent experience in the property sector and working to agreed targets within a commercial environment. You will have Project Management experience within the property or development sector and understand the planning process and local planning policy. You will have, or be working towards, a relevant RICS accredited degree and be a Student Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and enrolled on the APC. A commitment to your own development and to supporting training and development initiatives is also essential.
