Job Description
The Inside Sales Specialist will focus initially on building relationships both internally and externally, whilst also developing other commercial skills and generating revenue. You will be responsible for prospecting for new leads, contacts and opportunities, and qualifying and closing quotations for orders in select geographic territories. The Specialist will proactively research accounts, manage incoming inquiries, make outbound calls and attend customer visits in their assigned territory. They will be supported by and support; other sales team members and direct management to develop best practise ways of working.
The Specialist will work closely with the rest of the EMEA sales team and will be based at our office in Cambridge (UK) travelling to customers and internal and external meetings as necessary.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Find, develop and close sales opportunities of new and existing customers to achieve or exceed the territory sales plan.
2. Provide technical expertise and insight to discover and close new leads and opportunities.
3. Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand and position the most relevant products to our customers
4. Develop and implement a proactive strategy for prospecting new business, including researching accounts, lead qualification and customer outreach.
5. Adopt the Sales Cloud CRM system and use its functionality and content to manage leads, opportunities and provide insight into accounts.
6. Work cross-functionally with ePro, Channel Management and Sales, Marketing & Service organisation to facilitate preferred customer buying journey.
7. Travel both domestic and international is required up to 20%. This will include face to face meetings with customers, attendance at conferences, and travelling to sales meetings.
Qualifications
8. BSc in a life science discipline (or an equivalent number of years apprenticeship or experience).
9. Ability to engage customers and potential customers quickly, both virtually and face to face.
10. Very organized with strong attention to detail.
11. Strong verbal/written communication skills.
12. Fluent in English and German.
13. Commercial experience or evidence of a commercial mindset (preferably within the life science reagents market).
