The Role
Engineering & Facilities Technician
The Engineering & Facilities Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the site, maintaining equipment reliability, and continuously improving processes within a food manufacturing environment. The role ensures compliance with BRCGS standards, food safety requirements, Health & Safety regulations, and other legal obligations critical to maintaining high-quality product output and site efficiency.
You will focus on maintaining both Operational equipment and site infrastructure through a combination of planned maintenance, swift response to breakdowns, and the implementation of long-term reliability strategies. The position requires a hands-on, proactive approach to meet the unique challenges of operating in a regulated food production environment.
Key Accountabilities
1. Execute planned and reactive maintenance to ensure uninterrupted production while adhering to food safety and H&S requirements.
2. Coordination and supervision of specialist contractors for key infrastructure equipment such as HVAC Systems, Lifts & MHE etc.
3. Conduct and document planned and reactive maintenance activities in compliance with H&S Regulations, BRCGS standards, food safety protocols, and legal requirements.
