Job Description Engineering Manager Location: Craigavon Reports to: Head of Operations Contact: Conor O ’ Hagan About the Role: Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Engineering Manager will: Manage all equipment and facilities maintenance on site. Manage a multi-skilled engineering team. Ensure the entire site operates to highest levels of compliance. Manage implementation of Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) projects on site Support root cause projects to eliminate waste and improve site efficiencies through increase machine uptime and throughput. Key Duties: Lead and develop a team of multi-disciplined engineers to achieve the highest standards of machine and asset maintenance, focusing on machine up time and reliability. Put in place workplace inspections which comply to all relevant H&S standards and legislation and follow up with actions. Create an engineering strategy for the site. Set KPI ’ s, track monitor and improve. Set a CAPEX plan for the site and ensure it ’ s delivered at optimum cost, best delivery, and best fit to the company. Ensure all equipment is maintained on site and conforms to all legislative requirements. Set an engineering and facilities budget for the site, adhere to the budget, and review and implement cost-saving projects year on year. Manage engineering stores. Create a list of approved suppliers with procurement for all key contracts on site and manage those contracts. Put in place a safety system for controlling and permitting contractors on site. Take responsibility for relevant contractors on site. Support all facilities functions on site and review options to improve overall site conditions for employees and cost-out options. Manage asset life to optimise overall life-cycle costs. Set-up and manage accurate stock control systems for engineering and facilities stores. Implement a CMMS, manage control and improve. Maintain and promote a compliance culture throughout the organisation in order to ensure the highest levels of integrity, honesty and professionalism. Promote the highest possible standards of health, safety, environmental, quality and product compliance, ensuring that compliance is an integral part of the business and our requirements and procedures. Any other relevant duties as required.
