An exciting opportunity has arisen for a developmental band 6/7 Nurse to join our East Riding Diabetes Specialist Team.
The post holder will be welcomed into a small and supportive diabetes team. We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate nurse who can provide clinical expertise in the delivery of diabetic care.
Main duties of the job
To support the Team leader in delivery of this wonderful service and to adopt a supportive culture for teamwork and building. This post is a developmental post and the successful candidate will be expected to achieve the necessary qualifications before progressing to band 7 pay.
This is a part-time position working a few days a week between Mon-Fri.

Qualifications
* Registered General Nurse
* Teaching and assessing qualification, and/or experience
* Evidence of personal / professional development
* Relevant post grad qualification in diabetes care
* Extended non-medical prescriber (V300)
Knowledge
* Advanced clinical practice in diabetes care, knowledge and skills, including problem solving complex issues
* Practice development skills in line with knowledge and skills framework
Experience
* Ability to develop effective working relationships with a multi-professional team, whilst challenging and negotiating clinical practice
* Proactive approach to team working and change management
* Leadership, negotiation and facilitation skills
* Advanced clinical assessment skills and decision making skills
