Job Description
Brand-new position for a transport planner to help within the waste management sector!
Your main tasks will be:
1. Plan and manage the route of both the roll-on/roll-off and articulated vehicle fleets.
2. Ensure efficient operations and adherence to daily schedules and contractual obligations.
3. Ensure all vehicle defects are addressed in a timely manner.
4. Keep fleet maintenance up to date in line with requirements of the operator’s licence.
5. Be involved in improvement projects.
6. Liaise with recycling centres and transfer stations to ensure all waste levels are collected as planned.
7. Liaise with vehicle maintenance providers and maintenance personnel to ensure smooth running of the operation and adherence to Service/MOT schedules.
Hourly Rate: You will be paid at £14.00 per hour. Please note we do not accept visa sponsorships.
Working Hours: You will usually be working Monday to Friday, where you will be working a rotational shift pattern. You will be working either 05:30 - 14:00 or 09:30 - 18:00. However, you will be required to work 1 in every 4 weekends both days, 05:30 - 18:30. You will be given 3 days off mid-week to compensate for working that weekend.

Experience & Qualifications
Every applicant must have experience within the transport sector. You also need the below criteria before applying:
1. Experience in route planning & scheduling.
2. Excellent geographical knowledge, especially in Nottinghamshire and the surrounding counties.
3. Experience of dealing with both drivers and customers.
4. Excellent customer service.
5. Computer literate including Google Suite.
