Job Title: Post-16 College Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant Post-16 College in RM6. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge and experience supporting SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) students, with particular expertise in working with students with complex needs and SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) difficulties. In this full-time role, you will provide tailored support to students, ensuring their individual needs are met within the classroom environment. You will work closely with teaching staff to implement strategies that promote learning and personal development. Some personal care may be required, so the ability to provide compassionate and professional support is essential. Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1:1 and group support to students with SEND, including those with complex needs and SEMH.
2. Support students with personal care as required.
3. Work closely with teaching staff to implement individual learning strategies.
4. Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Essential Qualifications/Experience:
1. Proven experience working with SEND students, particularly those with complex needs and SEMH.
2. Strong understanding of SEND and the challenges students face.
3. Ability to provide personal care and ensure student well-being.
4. Passion for working with young people in an educational setting.
