Patient Engagement Lead / Healthcare Assistant
We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Engagement Lead & Healthcare Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP Swinfen Hall, a category C men's Prison and Young Offenders Institution located in Staffordshire.
Hours:
The site currently offers 4 shifts per week - 3 x 9 hour shifts and 1 x 10.5 hour shift.
This position is full time; you'll receive an annual salary up to £28,000 per annum - depending on experience.

Main Duties of the Job
As a Patient Engagement Lead & Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received.
* As the Patient Engagement Lead, you'll be responsible for the improvement and stability of patient engagement activities and patient satisfaction through effective service user engagement and peer-led forums, the planning and delivery of projects/programmes in line with patients' needs and priorities, involving patients (where possible) in project and training delivery.
* Ensure statutory and organisational requirements are met, that patient engagement activities are conducted frequently across all sites with timely evaluations and feedback/recommendations communicated with patients, staff, and external partners where necessary. Work collaboratively with senior management to assist in establishing patient reviews of new innovations for business.

Minimum Requirements
* NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care.
* A non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
* Applicants must hold English and Maths at GCSE level C/4 or above or Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths (certificate evidence will be required).
* Ability to work within a busy environment.
* Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures.

Salary: £28,000 a year, paying up to £28,000 - depending on experience.
