WHAT TO EXPECT
Come and join JLR as a Lead Data Privacy Advisor. You will ensure that Product Engineering at JLR complies with data privacy legislation and internal privacy processes. This position is essential for maintaining customer trust in our operations and delivering a true Modern Luxury Experience across all personal data-related product features and internal business processes.
As a Lead Data Privacy Advisor within Product Engineering, you will lead risk assessments and facilitate the implementation of Privacy by Design and Default principles. You will support and guide engineers through the privacy process, advising on requirements, identifying high-risk processing, and escalating issues as necessary. Your expertise will help ensure our products are designed with privacy in mind from the outset.
In this role, you will also be responsible for conducting training on privacy processes, maintaining Data Protection Impact Assessments, and tracking compliance risks to resolution.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
* Facilitating Privacy by Design and Default within Product Engineering and maintaining respective processes
* Supporting & guiding engineers in completing the Privacy by Design and Default process and associated risk assessments across all areas of Product Engineering
* Understanding and advising on the Privacy by Design requirements
* Being a point of guidance for Privacy Leads within Product Engineering
* Identifying high-risk processing and escalating as necessary
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
* Data protection compliance consultant or junior privacy lawyer (2/3PQE)
* Enhanced knowledge of GDPR/Data Protection regulations and processes and demonstrable experience operationalising those requirements
* Ability to understand, advise on, and evaluate complex and technical data processing activities in Product Engineering
* Experience in communicating and influencing to build strong networks and relationships, internally and externally
* CIPM or CIPP/E or similar
