As a Finance Assistant you will work as part of a team of six providing financial assistance across a range of clinical & non-clinical services. The successful candidate will be either looking to or working toward their AAT qualification, have experience of computerised financial ledgers, be able to communicate with both financial & non-financial colleague, be able to prioritise their workload and have good IT skills, especially proficient in the use of MS Excel. The post holder will work remotely for part of the week but will also need to be prepared to work at both the Royal Papworth Hospital site on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus and the site in Huntingdon. Main duties of the job Key Management Accounts duties will involve supporting the Finance Business Partners to provide budget holders with financial support & advice and reviewing of departmental costs, while making appropriate adjustments through accrual & adjustment journals. Assist in identifying variance from budget to ensure effective budgetary control by budget holders. Support in the costing of information to assist both the month end process and divisional requests. Alongside your Management Accounts duties key Financial Accounts duties will involve the raising of sales orders, coding of invoices received & reconcile pharmacy invoice data.
