Salary: £ 19.39 to £20.22 per hour
Shift Patterns/ Hours: Monday to Friday 08:45 am to 17:00 pm - Hybrid - Min 2 days in the office/week
Starting date: 27/02- 3 Months
Location: Northwest Leicestershire
The role:
The postholder will be responsible for managing the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and income managements teams as well as the finance assistant who is responsible for insurance on a day-to-day basis. As well as the day-to-day management, also assisting with improvements to the Unit 4 system and making processes more efficient.
What you will be responsible for:
Maintain a high standard of customer service throughout the Financial Services team.
Act as a main point of contact for the Companies in relation to Financial Services functions.
To act as the authority's lead for employer related tax and VAT.
To act as one of the Companies authorised bank signatories.
Administration of the Companies bank account and Corporate Credit Card and associated online systems.
Supporting the Systems Accountant with the administration and development of the finance systems.
Requirements:
Experience in Payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable systems and processes, VAT and insurance.
ATT qualified or equivalent
Two years of demonstrable experience working in finance including the delivery of a payroll service
Ability to process and analyse data and information accurately and within specific time frames.
Ability to interpret and apply legislation and professional guidance.
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
