The post holder will provide high quality management and leadership within the antenatal clinic. Provide clinical midwifery expertise and leadership to the Antenatal Clinic, Maternity Ultrasound, Maternity Assessment Unit and support to the Gynaecology Clinic Act as an advocate and liaise with members of the multi-disciplinary team to co ordinate all aspects of care in the best interests of women and her family. Act as experienced mentor for less experienced midwives and student midwives. Work proactively to plan the development of complex antenatal outpatient care. Evaluate provision of care throughout the antenatal period for women and their families. Continuing responsibility for the day-to-day management of the allocated area, ensuring delivery of high standard of care through effective management of staff and resources within the service.
