Supporting the Sales team, you will report to the Regional Sales Manager and be responsible for working in a sales support capacity, focusing on networking and lead generation for the Business Development Managers. This is an ideal role for someone wishing to grow a career within sales and will be integral to expanding Liquidline’s presence and portfolio by attending networking events and identifying new business opportunities.
The Role:
* Proactively engage in networking activities to build a robust network of business contacts and potential clients.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with professionals and decision makers.
* Identify new business prospects through multi-channel prospecting such as networking, cold calling, and showroom appointments.
* Leverage personal and professional networks to drive interest in Liquidline’s products and services.
* Support the sales function by developing a pipeline of potential clients and coordinate with the sales team to convert leads into sales.
* Use proven sales lead tracking methods to nurture opportunities and book appointments for the sales team.
* Utilize the developed Liquidline City Strategy through online lead platforms to find larger revenue opportunities.
* Attend networking events in the local areas.
* Actively participate in group discussions, panel events, or presentations to establish the company as a market leader.
* Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new business opportunities.
* Coordinate annual events calendar for Scotland maximizing showroom use.
What you will need in the role of Business Development Executive:
* Basic knowledge and understanding of business development fundamentals.
* Previous experience of working in a sales support role and/or attending networking events would be an advantage but is not essential.
* Responsive with a service-driven approach to deliver the 'wow' factor.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proven ability to manage and prioritise a heavy workload.
* Tenacious to get things done and meet deadlines.
* IT proficient with a good understanding of Microsoft Office. Previous use of a CRM system is desirable.
