About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our growing team in Tewkesbury. Reporting to the General Manager, you will provide Quality Engineering support to the Operations and Quality departments, ensuring that products and processes meet business and customer requirements. This role involves managing quality systems, supporting production processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Please note: Successful candidates may be required to complete their training at the Reddich site prior to the opening of the Tewkesbury site.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage inspection and certification control plans.
Support the Project Management team with contract reviews.
Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) requirements, including PPAP and FAIRs.
Assist with process production part approval using visual and dimensional inspection.
Perform final inspection of components and assemblies, including sign-off.
Provide manufacturing support to production areas, addressing quality issues.
Ensure procedures are implemented or updated as required.
Conduct measurement systems evaluations.
Support the business in maintaining its QMS to ISO 9001:2015 accreditation.
Conduct internal audits and shop floor product/process audits as per schedules.
Manage non-conformance issues and maintain performance reporting.
Key Competencies
Proven experience as a Quality Engineer, ideally in an electronics-based product manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of technical documentation, including engineering drawings.
Familiarity with Defence Standards and electronic/electrical components.
Experience with APQP requirements, including PPAP and FAIRs.
Qualified and experienced ISO 9001 quality auditor.
Proficient in lean methodologies, such as 5S and POKA YOKE.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently or within a team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing.
Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with quality processes in the Defence industry.Desirable Skills (Advantageous):
Certification or experience in IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.
Ability to simplify and communicate complex technical issues effectively.
