This is a fixed term full time appointment for maternity cover.
The Development Officer will join Birkbeck College's talented and ambitious Development and Alumni Team at a crucial moment in our history as we deliver our 200th anniversary commemorations and conclude our first comprehensive fundraising and engagement campaign, ‘The World Needs More Birkbeck’.
Working across a blended portfolio of around 100 individuals, corporates and foundations, the post holder will lead on quickly building successful new relationships and maintaining existing partnerships. You will be creating compelling propositions to secure primarily unrestricted five to six figure philanthropic gifts that support the future ambitions of the College and to enhance the student experience as the College.
This role will work closely with the Senior Development Manager and be part of a wider team of six philanthropy fundraisers.
You will have a significant track record in fundraising or client relationship management, with demonstrable success in achieving financial targets and a sound knowledge of Raisers Edge.
Remuneration:
Grade 6 of the College Salary Scale which is £37,143 rising to £42,365 per annum.
The salary quoted is on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
