Job summary Under supervision, you will work as part of the Mental Health Support Team, providing education-based support and delivering evidence based interventions across Manchester. This includes working with children, young people and families with emotional and behavioural difficulties, undertaking a wide and varied range of clinical, supportive and administrative tasks as directed by qualified staff or the Service manager. You will assist in delivering evidence-based interventions for young people presenting with mild to moderate mental health difficulties, and their families and assist the evaluation of these interventions. You will act as the champion for promoting service user involvement, ensuring the service listens to the voices of the young people and will work in partnership with other agencies to ensure children, young people and their families are offered advice and practical support. Main duties of the job To assist in the assessment of children, young people and families, accurately reporting all feedback to the care co-ordinator / lead professional / team. To assist in the delivery of therapeutic interventions on an individual and group basis. To assist in the running of therapeutic groups and workshops. As requested, develop resources packs for children, young people and families. Assist in the inputting of and scoring of assessment tools, accurately reporting findings back to the care co-ordinator / lead professional / team. Ensure that the perspective of children, young people and families is incorporated into all aspects of assessment and treatment. To act as a service champion in encouraging and developing user participation.
