We are delighted to be supporting our client, a specialist in complex fabrication and assembly work, with their search for an experienced Business Development Lead.
The role will focus on creating new opportunities in the Defence industry and positioning the business as a trusted supply partner, so previous experience of working in the Defence sector is essential for the role.
The successful candidate will leverage their industry knowledge and existing network to identify, develop, and secure new contracts.
The person:
* A specialist in Defence industry business development, comfortable in fast paced, complex, craft based, technical and commercial environment.
* A business winner, you can sell and scale our service offering, creating and sustaining sales revenue whilst building industry-wide stakeholder networks.
* Commercial, you have a strong commercial awareness and experience of the bid/proposal process and relevant industry standards in the Defence sector.
* Relationships, you build long-term commercially sound stakeholder relationships.
* Insights, you have understanding and access to industry intelligence, you are able to take a holistic view of the big picture, weighing both internal and external factors in order to maximise our presence and success in the market.
* You have the ability to understand and grow sales in a ‘craft based’ organisation.
