Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Sales and Marketing Executive to join our team. Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and enhancing our market presence. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong geological background and a passion for transitioning into a commercial role. You will be involved in a diverse range of activities, from direct sales to marketing initiatives, with excellent potential for career progression into either sales and account management or marketing.
Key Responsibilities
* Directly manage sales of specific portfolio components, from initial enquiry to order fulfilment.
* Provide comprehensive support to the sales team in preparing tenders, proposals, and other sales-related documentation.
* Maintain accurate sales records and contribute to sales forecasting.
* Initial response to sales enquiries in a timely, helpful and professional manner.
Marketing:
* Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities and trends.
* Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, content creation, and promotional activities.
* Lead outbound marketing initiatives to generate leads and build brand awareness.
* Support the organisation and execution of trade shows and industry events.
CRM and Reporting:
* Maintain and update the CRM system with accurate customer and sales information.
* Liaise with internal departments to gather monthly reports and forecasts.
* Analyze sales and marketing data to identify areas for improvement.
* Support with data entry and maintenance.
Client Engagement:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service.
* Attend industry events and trade shows, representing Geotek Ltd. and engaging with potential clients.
Travel:
* Occasional global travel may be required to attend trade shows, client meetings, or industry events.
Ideal Qualifications and Experience
* A degree in Geology or a related Earth Science discipline.
* Experience in core logging within the oil and gas or mining industries.
* Prior sales and marketing experience, or a keen interest in a commercial/customer-facing role.
* Proven ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with clients.
* A proactive and results-oriented approach.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
* A passion for moving into a commercial role.

Location
